Thursday 6 March, Fr. Fabrizio Marcello, doctorate student at the ÉBAF and research at the Hebrew University gave a talk entitled: “Out of Egypt I called my son” Reading the New testament in the light of Greek papyri from Ptolemaic and Roman Egypt.
Fr. Fabrizio conducts a thesis on synagogues in the gospel of St Luke, Acts, and Philo of Alexandria.
A thesis supervised by Fr. Anthony Giambrone, OP.
From documentary papyri -law acts and decisions- he explained to the academic community of the ÉBAF and live on YouTube some excerpts of the New Testament replaced in their context.
